Clinton Baptist Church Cemetery | Montgomery, Pennsylvania
I stumbled across this cemetery on my way home from work, hoping to find a place to view the mountains where the river turns. It was a chilly, windy afternoon, but I just couldn't drive away. The earliest date of birth I was able to make out on a headstone dated back to 1801. However, Michael Sechler, a bodyguard of our very first President here in The United States of America, was born in 1760. Based on the information I was able to find online about the cemetery, he is in fact the 'oldest' buried here, with only a few others born in the 1700's.

I am curious as to how old the bells and trinkets are in the images above. The year of death looks to be 1839, and everything is very weathered, but I can't image they have lasted all these years. I wonder if their decedents, over the years, return to visit.
